About

Mindfulness and meditation are vehicles for improving mental and physical health. They create space and clarity in an increasingly noisy world. Mindfulness can help overcome personal challenges, build resilience, and cultivate creativity.

There's plenty of supporting research, and I've experienced these effects first-hand through several years of daily practice. But don't take my word for it; come and try it out for yourself.

As an accredited teacher, I’m expanding to share this practice with individuals and local communities. I draw on 1,000+ hours of experience to equip them with the tools and resources to build sustainable meditation practices and bring mindfulness into their daily lives.

What is Mindfulness?

The Pali word for mindfulness is sati, which roughly translates to “remembering.” Mindfulness is about remembering to be present, attentive and aware. It means being fully in tune with one's experience, free from narrative and judgment.

Research shows mindfulness is linked to greater psychological well-being, including higher life satisfaction, positive emotions, and better emotion regulation. Emerging evidence also indicates mindfulness can reduce emotional reactivity and enhance overall mental health.

While mindfulness concepts can be taught, they often fade into the background as people go about their busy lives. They forget how—or when—to make it a sustainable part of their lives.

Think of meditation as the mental gym where mindfulness is built. It strengthens your awareness and allows you to “remember” to be mindful at crucial moments.

My work is to guide individuals through the challenges of building a meditation practice that works for them. Once this part is running, mindfulness in daily life is far easier to cultivate.

I’ve developed techniques to address some of the most challenging barriers to meditation, including:
✔ Aligning the mind at the start of meditation.
✔ Handling mind-wandering without frustration.
✔ Carrying the meditative state into everyday life.

I use these approaches to help people establish a lasting practice and then guide them in weaving mindfulness into their daily activities.
